We made it out Kayaking this weekend. We went to Lake Hallie (satellite photo courtesy of Goggle Maps), which is just a few miles from our house. Most of the foliage colors have gone past, but it was a beautiful afternoon. There were lots of birds, including a couple Bald Eagles, a Blue Heron, and lots of duck type birds. I only had a 50mm lens, so not too much in the way of bird pictures, but you can just make out a bald eagle in one shot if you look really close.
